The aim of Foundations Forum is to:

• challenge
• inspire
• encourage

individuals and organisations to pursue better lives for people who are at risk of being devalued, by promoting the principles and practice of Social Role Valorisation (SRV). We aim to assist people in understanding social devaluation and disadvantage in our community especially as it affects the lives of people who are marginalised.

We do this by organizing and conducting SRV and SRV-related training and workshops.

We hope to:

• provide information that enables workers in aged care, mental health, disability services etc to think about what it might take to give attention to meaningful lives for the individuals they provide service to
• provide encouragement for the family members of people who are disadvantaged to strive for better services and better lives for their loved-ones
• influence managers, policy makers and government officers to think more deeply about the lives of the people who depend on human services
